AH1N1: Pandemic over, but world still at risk
According to the World Health Organization, the AH1N1 pandemic is now in its “post-pandemic period”. However, this does not mean that we are completely safe from the deadly virus—it only means that the global threat is lower. That’s why it’s still very important to protect yourself at all costs. Here are a few tips:
- Wash your hands properly, frequently. This is still the best way to prevent the spread of AH1N1 and other flu viruses.
- As much as possible, keep away from sick people. Avoid crowded places where viruses tend to spread.
- Eat nutritious food, get ample rest, and exercise regularly. Drink multivitamins and take doctor-prescribed flu-shots. Remember, a strong immune system is your best defense.
