Building a business back home
Through hard work and determination, more and more overseas Pinoys are able to save enough to start a business. Are you one of them? If you’re interested in having your own business, here are a few tips:
- Make sure that you have expendable money for your capital. Some people dip into their savings or emergency funds, and this is not a good move. Should your business fail, you should have your savings or emergency funds to fall back on. Once you figure out your disposable money, you can decide on what kind of business is suitable for you.
- Study your options carefully. Ask other overseas Pinoys or business-minded friends about how they began their own business. Take time to immerse yourself with the product you want to sell.
- Think long-term. Five years from now, where should your business be? What would be its status? Write a business plan to guide you.
Starting your very own business has its risks, but its rewards may be very fulfilling. Just remember it takes a lot of hard work, smarts, and passion to make a business successful.
