Dengue Prevention

More than 54,649 Dengue cases from January 2010 to date in the Philippines. Let us prevent the breeding of its vector, the Aedes mosquito. The Aedes mosquito is easily identificable bt its distinctive black and white stripes on their body.
WHAT CAN WE DO?
- Check and remove stagnant water in your premises.
- Don't store water in open containers. Cover all containers with lids
- Turn over storage containers
- Clear fallen leaves in drains and gardens
- Scrub inside of vases to remove mosquito eggs
- When out for a vacation, make sure toilet bowls are covered
HOW TO PREVENT MOSQUITO BITES:
- Wear shoes, socks, long pants and long sleeved shirt
- Use mosquito repellents/nets
- Take prompt medical advice once fever starts
