Health Tips for the Homebound Pinoy

Are you coming home this Christmas? You probably can’t wait to spend the holidays with your family and loved ones. But for you to truly enjoy the season, you’ve got to be in tiptop shape. Here are a few tips to keep you healthy, comfy and ready for the holidays.

  1. Fight your jetlag! Make sure you get enough sleep before your flight. You might want to hit the gym, too. Also, remember to pack your Unilab Handy Health Kit. It’s complete with Biogesic (for headaches), Decolgen Forte (for colds), Alaxan FR (for muscle pain), Diatabs Reformulated (for diarrhea), Tuseran Fore (for coughs) and Kremil-S Reformulated (for hyperacidity). While on the air, drink lots of water to stay hydrated. Take a few minutes walking up and down the aisle to stretch your muscles.
  2. Once you get home, help your biological clock adjust to the new time zone more quickly by matching your usual sleeping time. Eat high-protein or fatty foods to stay awake. Or eat carbohydrates like rice, pasta or bread to help you sleep.
  3. The pressurized plane cabin and the sudden change in climate can wreck your skin. Don’t forget to wash your face, moisturize and use sun block. Again, rehydrate with water.
You’d most likely be partying with your friends and loved ones the whole time you are here. But you won’t enjoy every moment of your stay if you’re feeling under the weather. So remember to eat moderately, get ample sleep, exercise regularly and—most importantly—relax. You’re in your beloved country now. Relish every second!
