Workout ideas for the brrr months

Chilly days make it so easy for us to skip exercise altogether. Nakakatamad! But that shouldn’t be an excuse if you don’t want your health and your figure to suffer this season.

Here are a few activities you can do inside the warm and toasty comfort of your home:

  1. Burn those unwanted calories while doing your household chores. Rearranging furniture, sweeping the floor, and cleaning windows are fab ways to stay fit.

  2. Climb up and down the stairs for about 30 minutes. This gives your legs and your heart a great workout. It’s also much gentler on your joints compared to jogging or running.

  3. Grab a jumping rope. This high impact exercise helps improve your cardiovascular health. Plus, you get that feeling of being a child again.

  4. Turn on the radio and dance! It’s a fantastic stress buster and strength booster. Bonuses: improved flexibility and higher self-esteem.

  5. Pop a kickboxing, pilates or yoga DVD on your player. It’s like hitting the gym minus the cost (and the self-consciousness!).
